Manufactured Homes are eligible for 203(k) financing & renovations.
There are no unique requirements specific to a Manufactured Home, except for the following:
- The renovations/rehabilitation cannot affect the structural components of the home that allow the home to conform with Federal Manufactured Home Construction & Safety Standards.
- Additions are allowed, but the foundation must be recertified with an inspection by the state agency that checks Manufactured Homes for compliance, OR a licensed structural engineer’s certification if the state does not employ inspectors.
